A first! Our Summer Bucket List 2012

 Don't look at me funny- it's that time of year!
There are less than two weeks left in the school year for the little ones,
Trust me, they are counting down the days!
So that means summer is upon us.
I wanted to have a fun list of many activities to do so that when it's hot and my brain stops functioning {don't lie- it happens to you, too!} we'll have some awesome ideas saving us from hours of mindless t.v. surfing & arguments.
My mind hurts just thinking about all the potential arguments!
So, this summer I am starting our first bucket list.
I am starting my  list at twenty, so it would seem doable.
I wanted to share it with you and maybe give you some ideas.
Plus, sharing holds me accountable.

I WANT to do everything on this list this summer.

So here goes:
  1.  Go swimming in one of the many outdoor pools
  2.  Camp out {in our own backyard or at the lake doesn't matter}
  3.  Go on a picnic
  4.  Go Geocaching as a family {that includes YOU Big Daddy!!}
  5. Make Homemade Ice Cream
  6. Take a trip to the zoo
  7. Have a bonfire complete with S'mores
  8. Watch the fireworks on Canada day!
  9. climb up a tree, a wall or a jungle gym.
  10. Make birdseed birdfeeders and feed the birds!
  11. Play in the rain and jump in muddy puddles {this will be the hardest by far and I might have to spray the kids down before letting them in to bathe.}
  12. plant something
  13. play superheros with homemade capes
  14. Watch the sunrise and sunset
  15. go for a hike in the woods
  16. have a water balloon fight
  17. go to the library
  18. make homemade lemonade
  19. Take all of the kids and go to the farmers market
  20. Take the kids on a family vacation to the mountains!

  1. Great list. My summer bucket list consists basically of one thing, enjoying all the things this new city has to offer for me and my kids. There are so many summer activities and festivals and I want to enjoy them all.

    1. Twisted Cinderella, our city offers a lot of festivals is actually nicknamed "the festival city"
      My favorites are the heritage festival & the "taste of".
      I fully intend on going to the Shakespeare festival this summer.
      Are there a lot of festivals where you moved to?
