This was not on my bucket list

First day of summer vacation!
The monkeys let me snooze past my normal wake up time of 7:15 and they didn't start stirring until well after 8:00.
*bliss*
I know what your thinking...
How on earth is that sleeping in?
With 4 kids { three of which don't sleep in} my days of sleeping past 9:00 are l-o-n-g gone. As in the way of the dodo bird.

The kids and I enjoyed a lazy breakfast while I enjoyed every drop of my morning cup of coffee & sorted through email messages.
The kids were busy sharpening their abilities as budding superheroes while the baby was seeing how many buckets of toys I would allow her to dump over the carpet.
{4 in case you were wondering}
We grabbed out sun hats, ice cold bottles of water and headed down the path to the playground for some fresh air before the baby had her nap.
I was busy pushing punky in the swings.
Mr.d was busy scrambling over the playground with some friends from school.
Giggles was on what will now be referred to as the "circle from hell"

when I heard the most horrific sound a mother could hear.
Quickly I grabbed punky out of the swing and we ran over to giggles.
She was being comforted by one mom and another was doing a quick first aid check. {who much to my surprise is a practicing nurse}
Honestly, everything happened so quickly that it has become somewhat of a blur.
One mom said she heard a horrific "noise" when she landed.
We could not put any pressure on her leg at all but it was already starting to swell.
And she was in so much pain she was inconsolable.
Every bump and turn on her short wagon ride home was announced by screams.
The ride to the hospital was worse **shudders**
4 X-rays later she is in a cast from the top of her thigh to the tips of her toes.

I might have to double check my bucket list but I am pretty sure
"taking 5 year old in for a spiral break of the tibia"
Didn't make the final cut.
*sigh* now to plan things fun things we can do!!
