reflecting back on day 3 while smack dab in day 4

WoW....
If anything I think this whole adventure might just push me into being more organized.
Day#3
Breakfast needs tweaking badly.
Boxed cereal...your days are numbered!
This weekend I am going to whip up a batch of granola along with some french toast and pancakes so we have faster healthier menu options.
Lunch we nibbled on fresh salad & the left over chicken nuggets I made the night before.
Dinner, I went out on a limb and whipped up a batch of Split Pea Ham Barley Soup
Big daddy, niffy nu nu and I found it really good.
So did Punky but the other two were more interested in their slice of whole wheat bread.
What a difference buying bread at the bakery makes.
I picked up two loaves on Tuesday and they both are gone!
I am toying with baking my own loaves this weekend.
Something about the smell of freshly baked bread is amazing!

Day#4
I didn't think there would ever come a day where I could honestly say that I am so glad I switched from sugar to honey in my coffee.
Seriously.
I used to consider it bee vomit and I refused to even try it.
And because we are being honest here I think it's fair to share with you a secret.
When I made my coffee I did it knowing that I was only going to commit to ONE sip and if it was gross I would dump the entire cup out and head to tim's.
Pathetic I know but there is just something special between me and my coffee.
I'm even ashamed to admit it but, Before (so like 4 days ago)  I added 3 tsp of sugar  & a "splash" of coffee creamer to my morning cup of coffee each and every day.
(don't do the math, it will just gross you out.  Let's just say I like a little coffee with my cream and sugar)
Now I use a "splash" of homemade vanilla cinnamon coffee creamer  along with 1/2 tsp. of honey Same amount of sweetness but now I know what is in my coffee and I have cut down a gazillion tsp of sugar from my diet.

Lunch we had fresh fruit & Jam sandwiches on whole wheat bread.
{bakery bread goes so much faster in this house it's crazy!!}
I think I might have to dust off my bread machine.

Dinner tonight we are going to be having some mahi mahi.
Wish me luck...
I don't know how I am going to convince the little ones to eat this!!
