I understand now how easy it can be to slip back into the "old"way of thinking.
Normally I start dinner around 4 but yesterday I was in the middle of an interview and we got to chatting and before I knew it it was after 6:30.
The interview ran much later than either one of us had expected.
I was hungry, the kids were miserable.
Nothing was prepared and we needed to eat.
The baby was miserable and had started turning a funky shade of red from screaming.
She even crawled up onto the table and snagged a whole tomato.
We needed dinner...and FAST!
I'm ashamed to tell you that we {GASP} ordered pizza.
Yup, I hopped into my van and raced to Panago for two medium oh so good and probably processed to death pizza.
Plopped our butts on the carpet picnic style the kids dove into our plain cheese pizza while we devoured and entire medium ham & pineapple panago pizza for ourselves.
I will admit it's hard to feel guilty while you are stuffing your face but I did and still do.
I feel like I had cheated my family.
**sigh** I'm not even going to suggest that his pizza was anywhere close to #realfood but, it might not be as bad as I had first envisioned.
Searching the internet I found the recipe for the basic homemade pizza dough this morning so at least I know what went into the crust.
Not so sure about the toppings..
"Canadian ham, pineapple, bacon, mozzarella and cheddar." Oi!
Pretty sure all of the above are processed to some degree.
**sigh** back to the drawing board.
I need a plan that WORKS.
What can I quickly whip together to by pass running to the nearest fast food restaurant?
Anyone have any suggestions?
