Off with the old and on with the new!

Sheesh, time flys by fast when your busy having fun!
11 days ago { the first day of summer vacation} Giggles fell from some playground equipment resulting in a spiral break of the tibia. *shudders* what a horrible day!
Sporting a white plaster cast we were sent home knowing she would be seen 10 days later to check her progress and decide if further intervention would be required. Bringing us to today.
last night when I should have been fast asleep I was up pouring my heart out to God fretting.
We were told there was a possibility that she may require pins or plates to fix her break. Something no mother wants to see happen to her little one.
Ever.
So, I didn't sleep very well.
Big daddy was later leaving work than expected and we were running 10 minutes behind schedule
Luckily the doctors were late too so we more than made up for it while we waited in the waiting room with an overly grouchy baby.
If you we're there, sorry!
That's what "missing lunch and nap time " looks like.
Pretty eh.
*sigh*
Anyways, she received an X-ray before they removed the yucky white cast. which to my amazement was pretty clean except for the heal that had a hole clean through it.
They replaced it with a hot pink fiberglass cast.
already we have seen an improvement as it is much easier for her to get around on!
5 more weeks then we should be cast free as long as her X-rays look good.
Just in time for vacation too!
Now that is cutting things a little close...
