Day#2 a trip to the grocery store.
Day#2 thankfully is off to much a better start!
Starting smaller makes this an easier adventure to take plus, I hope that at the end of it all it will make it easier to follow.
I started by substituting the sugar in my coffee for honey {Yummy!!} and I found this recipe for homemade vanilla cinnamon coffee creamer that I will be making later on today to replace the store bought variety.
I finally did
With my grocery list in hand and an extra 45 minutes to kill the baby and I headed off down the street to the closest grocery store.
I knew this was going to be interesting and found it easier to stick to the outside of the market where all the fresh produce are located. No sugar hidden in bananas that's for sure.
I went armed with a menu planned for this week but I wasn't really sure how this was going to go.
There were things that I couldn't find.
Like sweet potatoes.
Pretty hard to make sweet potato fries when you can't purchase any sweet potatoes.
And some of the things I needed that wasn't offered in the organic section of the store so I made due with what I could find.
Makes me wonder exactly what is in that ham... **shudders**
I have found that reading labels can leave more answers then questions.
Where is the best place to shop?
Ack!!
