The kids begin their morning watching cartoons on the hide-a-bed before I can convince them to have some breakfast. Actually, I am not going to complain about that one. It gives me a chance to drink my coffee and feed the baby before I get to the bigger two.
Then off to play at the playground or we head off the resort and go exploring to see if we can find another playground.
Then after everyone is pooped we dump out the pea gravel from our shoes and it's back up to the room for a quick bite to eat before we head out again for a splash in the resort pool. With only two weeks of swimming lessons under their belts I have to climb into the water with them. I will admit this was not the highest on my "to do list" as Big daddy is the one who was a lifeguard and I am the one who isn't so confident in my swimming abilities but, the kids want to go in so I took them in!
Mr. D spends the entire time doing cannonballs which means that he is in and out of the water the entire time and Giggles is clinging to the side of my body like Velcro begging me not to submerge her under the water. "no counting mom, no counting!!" Shesh, I only did it twice!
I am starting to wonder if the sun has had a chance to even see that side of my body but I will take the cuddles any day. Thankfully the pool is heated so it's not as uncomfortable as it could be with the hot sun on our skin plus, there are no icky bugs ((gag))like I saw floating in the water or teenagers making out on the shore and I don't have to worry about stepping on broken glass either. Hmm, think the pool trumps the lake this time around! Plus, if we get really cold we can go into the hot tub!
If you look carefully in the picture you can see the pool is tucked in behind the playground equipment. So far I haven't been able to find a way to bring my iPhone to the pool and be in the water at the same time...maybe tomorrow I can convince big daddy to snap some pictures. A side note,when you view those pictures make sure to remember my sun kissed legs look their best if you are wearing wearing polarized sunglasses while viewing the picture otherwise I look like I haven't seen the sun this entire summer!
